Let the total number of pearls be x. Therefore the number of pearls is a sixth of x plus a fifth of x plus a third of x plus a tenth of x (this all boils down to four fifths of x) plus six left over.

So, x = 4/5 x + 6

i.e. x - 4/5 x = 6

Which means x = 30.
